The Importance of Accurate Numbers
A little lighter side for a Wednesday! I Hope you got a chuckle out of this one, like I did.
Warning: Don’t try this at the office. Fictitious numbers can lead to a lack of income/employment, divorce (if applicable), and ultimately, complete distress.

After all, 89% of stated statistics are made up on the spot. (Or is that 98%?)

Is the truth always somewhere in the middle?
With the election looming, it would be interesting to map out all of the “facts” that are said in the debates and show the accuracy of each claim.
If anyone in the business world pulled facts and numbers out of the air, which seems like those in politics like to do, they would be unemployed rather quickly.
I like to think that fabricated numbers will almost always show in the end. It’s really just a matter of time before someone catches on to the shenanigans.

I think what happens is when facts are presented which are so far off the mark, people think, “Wow, he wouldn’t say something so crazy if it weren’t true.” I think that’s part of what drove McCarthyism and the Red Scare.
